We spent a whirlwind 18 hours in Toulouse, France while in Transit to Scotland (where we are now!). We saw the biggest tourist spot – the St Sernin Basilica which is on the list of World Heritage Sites. It was truly magnificent and extremely grand! Enjoy the (terrible iPhone quality) pictures below!
Street in Toulouse.
Map of the basilica. The shape of the building is a cross.
Huge, huge, huge worship space.
The HUGE organ at the back of the church. That guy is C.
We were in the front row and the altars is still seemingly miles away. Very ornate worship space!
Relics of St. Theresa de Lisieux
Relics of St. Francis of Asisi
I want to teach at this high school!
Have you ever been to a world heritage site? What’s your favorite monument (domestic or international)?
