This past weekend, I took a girls weekend to my hometown – Chicago. It was so wonderful. I had forgotten how beautiful the skyline is:
I spent the weekend with my friend Jess who was the maid of honor at my wedding. I’ve known her for 15 years since we were in the same 5th grade class. We went from 5th grade to high school to Marquette together. We didn’t get very close until late high school and college. But, at this point, she is one of my dearest friends. She was such a wonderful hostess.
I loved seeing her! And as much as I could gush at how much I loved seeing her (and I did!), I realized how much I love C. Being away for a weekend was just what I needed to put a lot of things in perspective – especially how I need to let go of a lot of stuff at work. I need to focus more on what really matters in life.
To love, happiness, and re-prioritizing. 🙂
